Moscow Soloists Orchestra**
Orchestra-in-Residence

The Moscow Soloists were founded in 1992 and are directed by Yuri Bashmet. The group is comprised of leading young graduates from the Moscow Conservatory. They have performed in many prestigious venues including Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican Centre, the Théâtre des Champs Élysées, the Philharmonie in Berlin, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.

The chamber ensemble’s tours and festival appearances have taken them around the globe. The Moscow Soloists have worked with many celebrated soloists such as Gidon Kremer, Mstislav Rostropovich, Maxim Vengerov. As part of Mr. Bashmet’s exclusive recording agreement with Sony Classical, the Moscow Soloists made their first recording for the label in 1998, which was subsequently nominated for a Grammy Award.

They have just completed an American tour with Mr. Bashmet to sold out audiences in Carnegie Hall as a Carnegie Hall presented artist performance and across the country in other major music halls from Charlottsville to California.
